External blind spindle locks

Spindle locks are used in manually operated external venetian blinds to limit the upper and lower end positions. They work in conjunction with the crank gearbox and ensure that the external venetian blind can only be moved to the intended end position when cranking. For external venetian blinds with crank operation, the movement is transmitted to the external venetian blind via the crank gearbox. A suitable spindle lock limits the possible travel within the system. This allows the intended upper and lower end positions of the external venetian blind to be mechanically limited.
